How do I collect my paternity test samples?

We offer home and prenatal paternity testing. Hunts Genetics have completed more than 7,000 tests in our 5 years of experience. We can either send a DNA sample collection kit to your home, or for a quicker turnaround, clients are able to create their own Paternity Test Kit in the comfort of their own home. This is also our most cost effective option. Please visit our Sample Collection page for further information. Our sample collection kit, used for home paternity testing, will enable collection of cheek cell samples using sterile oral swabs (note that prenatal testing is an exception and is done by collecting blood samples).

If you are unable to provide us with oral swabs, then you might want to consider forensic DNA testing services for discreet sample collection. Please check with your local authority for the legality of collecting samples in this manner.

What does the cost of the home paternity test include?

Our at home DNA Tests start from as just $99 / £99. This is the total cost, with no hidden extras. All test results are sent by email in PDF format. We are able to arrange a hard copy to be mailed in the post for a small additional cost. 

Do I need to test the mother?

Hunts Genetics carries out many of its paternity tests without the mother’s sample. However, clients are able to send the mother’s DNA sample when and if she is available in order to create a more comprehensive test.
